<=> *Deep Listenings continue...Just a wonderfully rich album of deep hues, textures and subtle use of field of recordings... The take a way is an audio experience that is introspective, quite and nearly still. Graham continues to develop and refine his sound art and this one is outstanding among his work.! Enjoy Favorite track: Winter Mornings.

about

Graham is a keen walker and a lover of long walks in the natural environment with only his camera and a sketch book for company.
This album was inspired by those long walks and also by a wonderful and delightful short book; " A Philosophy of Walking" written by Frédéric Gros and published by Verso. Translated into English by John Lowe.
ISBN 978-178168-270-8

The music on this album runs for more than 2.5 hours and there are frequent soft, barely audible passages and at times, silence. This work is meant for quiet reflection of what is important to the listener. Ideally best listened to via good headphones in a super quiet environment. The music is meant for deep listening at a low volume, so try to avoid turning that volume up - it is supposed to be quiet.

In episode 3 of Graham's Ambient Music podcast - Selected Notes - you can hear the first 3 tracks of 'A Philosophy of Walking' and also how to obtain a free digital download of the album. Selected Notes podcast can be found on iTunes.
